Correctional Mental Health

Our work today is focused on providing services to the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC) where, since 2007, we have been responsible for providing all mental health care to approximately 300 youths.

The Isaac Ray Center, Inc. has been providing correctional mental health services since 1978. Over the years, the scope of IRC's work has been wide and varied, including work with such organizations as:

• Cermak Health Services (Cook County Jail)
• Chicago Police Department
• Illinois State Police
• U.S. Postal Inspection Service
• The Archdiocese of Chicago
• The F.B.I.
• U.S. Secret Service
• Rush Medical College to develop Illinois’ first post-doctorate forensic psychiatry fellowship training program
