Services

The IRC team at JTDC has grown from a handful of staff to more than 30 professionals.

Our services at Cook County’s Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (JTDC) include a range of efforts that are designed to provide coordinated mental health care to residents. Included are:

  • comprehensive mental health evaluations for residents
  • medication management
  • regular monitoring of treatment
  • psycho-educational groups
  • one-on-one counseling
  • behavior management
  • coordination of care with community service providers
  • referrals for hospitalization
  • linkages to aftercare treatment, where available
